Teaching Ourselves

The world we live in is a great place to learn.  Unfortunately for most of the people in it, the school systems which we have inherited (and to which we have contributed very little) have pretty much fallen apart at the seams.  While a person can still go to a school and learn the basic things that they need to survive, education is not as it should be.  This is the reason why it is imperative that we all teach ourselves whenever we can possibly do so.  After all, it is the responsibility of an individual person to make sure that they are educated sufficiently for their own needs.

After all, the society that we live in is the kind of place where a person can go a very long way, simply through their own actions.  All you have got to do is find a library, and you can access a very impressive storehouse of information.  Not only can you find all kinds of great books on just about any subject that you may have an interest in.  You can also get on the computers, and use them for a purpose other than playing games, which is commonly referred to as doing research.

Of course, it is not very easy to educate and teach yourself things.  For a lot of people, the amount of discipline that it takes to do such a thing is not going to be there.  They may go to the library once or twice, or say that they “should” do something of that nature.  But when it comes right down to it, there is a reason why most people would rather just sit in a classroom.  It is just way easier.
